Maytas Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer P K Madhav has resigned from the company, according to the information available on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

“P K Madhav, the Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of Maytas Infra Ltd, tendered his resignation from directorship as well as CEO of the company owing to personal reasons,” Maytas said in a filing to BSE.

Maytas Infra, promoted the family of disgraced Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju, has been hitting headlines ever since the IT firm announced a deal to acquire the company which was later called off following investors’ strong opposition.

Earlier this month, Maytas Infra’s Non-executive Director and Chairman R C Sinha had resigned from the company.

Serial entrepreneur and NewPath Ventures co-founder Vinod K Dham resigned from the board of Sasken Communications as an independent
director, a top official of the communications solutions provider said on Monday.

“Yes, Dham has resigned as a director of the company from the board on January 17,” Sasken chairman and managing director Rajiv C. Mody told IANS but declined to elaborate.

“We will inform you later, as we are busy with investors and analysts in a conference call on our third quarter performance,” Mody added.

The US-based Dham resigned from the board of the fraud-tainted Satyam Computer Services Dec 29 as an independent director over the IT bellwether’s aborted bid to acquire the two Maytas realty firms, run by the two sons of its disgraced founder and former chairman B. Ramalinga Raju.

The political blame game around Ramalinga Raju, the founder of  Satyam Computer Services and main accused over the Satyam scam has begun. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy on Monday dismissed charges that he was responsible for the rise of Satyam’s tainted founder Ramalinga Raju and instead sought to put the blame on his predecessor and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu.

“By the time I became the Chief Minister, Raju had already risen to very high level. I am not responsible. In no way, he needed my promotion. All the promotion was already done,” he told reporters.

Post, Ramalinga Raju’s Satyam scam, the company is seeing some signs of solidarity and encouragement as stocks of Satyam rose by almost 7% on  Monday. Though still at a miserable rate of Rs. 25.45, the Satyam stock rose by 7% as most of Satyam’s clients showed faith in Satyam and stated that all deliverables were delivered as per timelines and requirements.

According to a stock exchange announcement, the newly-appointed board met on Jan 17 for the second time in six days to discuss the “immediate action plan”. This was, incidentally, the first board meet after the government’s decision to nominate three additional members. Read more

The disgraced former Chairman of Satyam Computer Services, Ramalinga Raju, has been sent to police custody till January 22. Also, any bail application will not be accepted till January 22.

Raju will now be shifted from Chanchalguda Jail to CB-CID custody where he will be interrogated.
